Indian Head Massage

Ayurveda (ayur-life; veda-knowledge) is one of the first therapies known to man, a holistic medicine originating in India. It focuses on the human being as a whole, with the aim of harmonising and healing not only the physical body but also the energetic body. It adapts to different bodies and energetic patterns (doshas).

Throughout this course, you will learn various techniques and simple and practical sequences of massage to the head, face and surrounding areas with the most diverse healing effects and applications.

The head, neck and shoulders contain important energy points of our body. When we are stressed or irritated, tension tends to manifest and accumulate at these points. Later this accumulated tension can appear in the form of lumps in the neck and shoulders, immobility, discomfort and even hair loss.

Indian Head Massage will help, with its subtle rhythm, to unblock these points. Its effect is not only physical, it also works at an emotional level, calming the spirit, promoting relaxation, and relieving stress, one of the main causes of illness today.

We will cover, among other topics:

  • What is Indian Head Massage
  • Benefits and History
  • Development in the West
  • How Indian Head Massage works
  • Acupressure and Relaxation
  • Simple and practical head, face and surrounding massage techniques and sequences with various healing effects and applications.
  • Indian Head Massage – Neendra Meta style
  • Shiro-abhyanga: tribal sequence
  • Champissage: sequence for pregnant women
  • Thai Sequence
  • Practice and personalised assistance
