Every year, Boomland, in Idanha-a-Nova (Portugal), hosts an edition of Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC), a co-production between Centro de Ayurveda and IdanhaCulta/Boomland.
This PDC is held by Centro de Ayurveda, recognized worldwide, certified by DGERT (the Portuguese state recognised diploma for professional studies) and taught by Sílvia Floresta from Ecoaldeia do Vale, who got training in permaculture at the Permaculture Research Institute, in Australia.
This is a unique opportunity to learn in a space that hosts festivals and various scales events, as well as developing a regeneration and reforestation project since 2010 – systems that developed from permaculture principles.
Boomland, with an autochthonous holm oak reserve, is located next to the Idanha dam; This is the place that hosts Boom Festival (which, since 2008, has won some of the most important awards for sustainable events) and Being Gathering.
